Use NOxer® is an atmospheric decontaminating pavement based on the reactivity of titanium dioxide (photocatalytic TiO2 ).Under UV-light, TiO2 is activated and acts as catalyst for the chemical transformation of atmospheric pollutant nitrogen oxides (NOx) into stable compounds. The so-formed stable compounds can then be eliminated by rain water ; the small precipitated quantities remain well under the limits for drinkable water |
