Why does RoadMat collect my personal data?

RoadMat uses your personal data primarily for the following purposes:

• Access and use of the site. The requested personal data is required in order to have access to certain services, features or topics of the Site.
• Checking and authenticating your data.
• Personalizing our services and the messages we send you. The data about you allows us to improve and customize the services we could offer you and the communications we could send you. For example: we may send you personalized emails or technical notes related to the product you have visited.
• Customer knowledge and statistics. We can use data on your traffic and browsing history on our site and its services to better understand you or for statistical purposes to analyze the activity of the site and improve services we offer.

The nature of the personal data collected about me

We collect and process, among other things:

• Personal data to create your account: name, first name, email address, structure, type of structure, function, language of navigation when you register
• Data on your traffic and browsing history on the site when you look at the product listings of the additive database.

The obligatory or optional nature of the data is reported to you when collected by an asterisk. Some data is collected automatically because of your actions on the site.

On what legal basis and for what length of time are my personal data processed?

The processing of your personal data is justified by different bases (legal basis) depending on the use we make of personal data. Below are the legal bases and shelf life that we apply to our main treatments.

Among the applicable legal bases:

• Consent: you agree to process your personal data as soon as you register. You can withdraw this consent by opting out at any time.
• Legitimate interest: RoadMat has an interest in processing your data that is justified, balanced and does not infringe on your privacy. With some exceptions, you can object to legitimate interest-based treatment at any time by reporting it to RoadMat.
• The law: the processing of your personal data is made mandatory by a law.

Preservation times

• Your data is kept as long as you are registered on the site and for a period of 3  years from your last activity or opt-out (the statute of limitations for the contractual action). After this time, they will be removed.
• Connection, navigation and traffic data are stored for up to one year, in accordance with legal obligations.

Who are the Recipients of my data?

Your personal data is intended for RoadMat staff.

Access to your personal data is strictly limited to RoadMat employees, who are entitled because of their duties and are bound by a duty of confidentiality. However, the data collected may eventually be communicated to subcontractors contractually responsible for carrying out the tasks necessary for the proper functioning of the Site and its services as well as the proper management of the relationship with you, without you need to give your permission. It is specified that, in the performance of their services, subcontractors have only limited access to your data and have a contractual obligation to use it in accordance with the applicable legislation protection of personal data. Apart from the above cases, RoadMat undertakes not to sell, rentl or give access to third parties to your data without your prior consent, unless it is compelled to do so on a legitimate basis (legal obligation, anti-fraud or abuse, exercise of defense rights, etc.).

What are my rights in relation to the use of personal data?

In accordance with applicable legal and regulatory provisions, in particular Law 78-17 of 6 January 1978 amended on computer science, files and freedoms and European Regulation No. 2016/679/EU of 27 April 2016 (applicable from 25 May 2016 2018), you can exercise your rights of access, rectification, deletion, opposition, limitation and portability if necessary) and you can set the fate of your personal data "post mortem" by sending an email to: info@roadmat.com.

For security reasons and to avoid any fraudulent request, this request must be accompanied by proof of identity. The proof will be destroyed once the application is processed.

Is my data transferred outside the European Union?

Your personal data is hosted in Fance and, in principle, is not transferred outside the European Union. If this were to happen, RoadMat would ensure that the third country has a level of protection deemed adequate by the European Commission. If necessary, RoadMat will inform you and take the appropriate guarantees to ensure the protection of your immediate deposits.  

What about the personal data of minors?

RoadMat's services are not intended for miners. As a result RoadMat does not deal with data specifically for minors. It is up to the parents and anyone with parental authority to decide whether their minor child is allowed to use RoadMat's services.

What use of data related to Social Networks?

As the RoadMat’s site is not connected to any social network, your personal data is not shared with any social network.
